This very kind review at Fan Girl World includes a Liz Lemon GIF. This in and of itself has made my day.

More love. (How great is love!?)
Very kind review from the superbly named My Cup and Chaucer. If there’s one thing I love, it’s a good pun, and this is currently my favourite blog title ever. It is up there with my favourite ever trivia team name: Hold me closer, Tony Danza.
Dream job? Getting paid to sit around all day coming up with witty blog/trivia team names. Will work for praise and chuckles.
Why not let’s get interactive? Throw your best potential blog/trivia team names at the comments section.
More nice things
I’m beginning to feel a bit like this blog is currently just an online version of the family refrigerator and I just keep posting my gold starred homework for all to see. I do plan to write something myself again at some point. But that point is not today.
So…
Turner’s Antics interview
Interview at Turner’s Antics. This was one of the first ones I did and it took me ages because I wanted to sound witty and fresh. So fresh. Like the CD. Which google just informed me is still a thing. (!)
On character writing
Melanie Toye asked me about character writing on her excellent blog.
Homecoming
My secret lifelong goal has been to feature in the glossy mag that accompanies the weekend Geelong Advertiser. Goal scored.
Another review, or More People Who I Will Give Hugs To One Day.
The lovely Donna Joy Usher says incredibly nice things about my book here. I have deleted the entire contents of my resume and pasted her words in the centre in bold and underlined: ‘Claire Varley is a writing talent born, not made, and I can honestly say that this is the best written book I have read in years.’
How does one go back to doing menial things like washing the collective household underwear and scouring oil from the bottom of the pan after reading things like that?
Books that changed me
From today’s Fairfax papers, four books that changed me as a writer and a person.*
* Did not include Babysitter’s Club, though obviously this has been most influential.
And another!
Because you’re not already sick of me…
Here are a couple more bits of publicity:
- An interview with the lovely Booklover Book Reviews
- An interview with the equally lovely Words Read and Well Written
Fun fact: Though taking place approximately four weeks apart, both interviews reference Sir Paul McCartney. Because I am a one joke pony.
